Objective of the Scheme
To provide financial assistance on a Merit-cum-Means basis to talented and needy students who wish to pursue higher education in the state.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students whose parents have an annual income of up to ₹6,00,000.
- For undergraduate courses: Students who have secured 80 percentile or above in Class 12 Science Stream or General Stream examinations.
- For diploma courses: Students who have secured 80 percentile or above in the Class 10 examination.
Benefits / Financial Assistance
Tuition Fee Assistance
- For undergraduate Medical and Dental self-financed courses in government-recognized institutions:
50% of the prescribed tuition fee or ₹2,00,000, whichever is lower. - For undergraduate professional courses:
50% of the annual tuition fee or ₹25,000, whichever is lower. - For undergraduate general courses:
50% of the annual tuition fee or the prescribed limit, whichever is lower. - For diploma self-financed courses in government-recognized institutions:
50% of the annual tuition fee or ₹25,000, whichever is lower. - Students from the General Category who are displaced from government Medical, Dental, or Engineering colleges due to reserved category admissions and are compelled to take admission in self-financed colleges may receive assistance equal to the difference in tuition fees between the government college and the self-financed college, provided they are eligible under this scheme.

Application Process
- Students must apply online through the NIC-developed web portal:
MYSY Application Portal - After submitting the online application, students must visit the nearest Help Center (out of 91 Help Centers across the state) with the required documents for verification.

- Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) has been appointed as the nodal agency for this scheme.
